What difference does a building make to teaching and learning
It is going to happen at Taupo Primary School. As our understanding of teaching and learning grows and changes so too will our buildings. However we need to understand that it is not the building that ultimately improves learning,it is the teacher/s who make the difference and the quality of curriculum delivery. We know the teachers are Taupo Primary are excellent. That is why I am so confident as we approach time to plan and think through how we are going to teach together in different spaces.
In this clip Tony Grey explores research about the effect of traditional single cell teaching and classrooms and innovative teaching and classrooms. The clips are excellent and I urge you to watch them.
Talk with your children about the changes coming to our school. We are very keen to have our students ideas also.
I look forward to your comments and questions on this blog.
