Specialist Services are available through the school. These are provided by specialist groups
within the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.
The school is noted for the
effort made to accomodate special needs children and the celebration of achievement of those children.
Group Services Education - Special Education - (Ministry of Education) - offer speech-language
therapy and psychological councilling services. The Speech-Language therapist is onsite and the Pyschological Services (GSE) base is adjacent to the school.
A resident RTLB (Resource Teacher Learning and Behaviour) is available.
A resident Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf is available.
The school Dental nurse is available onsite according to need. Contact may be made if an
appointment is required and the Dental nurse is working out of another school site.
The Public Health Nurse runs a clinic every Tuesday morning at the drop-in centre. All students are
able to go there in the time 9am-12noon. The service is free.
